Vancouver Convention Center
The Vancouver Convention Centre’s art program showcases world-class works by British Columbian and international artists. Featuring sculptures, graphics, photographs and poetry, these pieces celebrate Coast Salish history, values and contemporary expression. Honouring its location on traditional Coast Salish territory, the program highlights Indigenous voices through a dedicated gallery and site-specific works.
The Coast Salish Gallery
The Harbour Concourse, connecting the West and East buildings of the Vancouver ConventionCentre, provides an ideal setting for showcasing the artwork of the Coast Salish people, on whosetraditional territory the Centre stands. This gallery features three-dimensional sculptures, two-dimensional graphics, historic and contemporary photographs and poetry. Together highlightingthe creativity and resilience of Coast Salish communities.
Indigenous Tourism BC acknowledges that it is situated on operates on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation).
